How to understand session-key permissions

Self-custody means you retain ownership and control of the wallet holding your funds. Deploy Finance agents do not receive your main private key.

When you delegate an agent, the wallet grants a separate session key with a defined scope. The agent can view balances and execute the strategy's trades, but cannot withdraw funds or transfer them to another address. Delegation requires your explicit approval and can be revoked.

Deploy Finance's embedded-wallet infrastructure is provided by Privy. Private keys are split into encrypted shares and reconstructed only briefly when required. Your key is exportable, giving you a path to use the wallet elsewhere.

Self-custody limits custody permissions; it does not remove trading, smart-contract, venue, or wallet-access risk. Read Risks.
