How to avoid deposit mistakes

Most deposit errors are preventable with a short address, chain, and asset check.

Before sending:

  1. Open Deposit and copy the current address from the app.
  2. Confirm that the external wallet is sending USDC on Arbitrum.
  3. Compare the first and last characters of the address after pasting.
  4. Check the amount and any network fee.
  5. Send a small test amount when using a new route.

Do not rely on a saved address without checking it against the app. A wrong-chain transfer does not appear in the Deploy balance automatically. Use Recover a wrong-chain deposit if needed.
