How to secure an exported key

An exported private key can control the wallet. Treat it as highly sensitive.

• Export only on a device you control.
• Verify the destination wallet before importing.
• Never paste the key into chat, email, a support ticket, or a website you did not open intentionally.
• Store any backup offline and protect it from unauthorized access.
• Do not share screenshots of the export or recovery material.

Deploy Finance and Privy cannot recover a key that you expose or lose. Exporting is a control path, not a requirement for ordinary sign-in. For the export sequence, see Export your keys.
