You fund an agent in USDC from your own self-custodial wallet, and it trades autonomously on decentralized perpetual markets. You keep custody at of your assets at all times. Agents hold scoped, revocable session keys that permit trading and nothing else without your permission. ## The agents | Agent | Stance | Earns from | | --- | --- | --- | | [Income: Funding Rates](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) | Market neutral | Perpetual funding payments | | [Superstar](/products/agents/superstar/overview) | Directional | Price movement, long or short | Both are funded and settled in USDC. Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/what-is-deploy-finance Description: A platform for autonomous AI trading agents funded in USDC and run from self-custodial wallets, built on execution infrastructure live since 2018. # What is Deploy Finance? Deploy Finance is a platform for curated autonomous AI trading agents that you fund in USDC and run from your own self-custodial wallet in decentralized perpetual markets to generate yields. ## Why Deploy Finance agents? **Curated strategies.** Every agent is designed, tested, and released by the quant team at Deploy Finance. **Self-custody.** Funds stay in your wallet, always. You own your assets. Agents operate on decentralized perpetual exchanges through scoped session keys you can revoke at any time, and private keys are exportable. **Proven execution.** The quantitative execution infrastructure behind Deploy Finance agents has run funding-rate and basis strategies at scale since 2018. **USDC in, USDC out.** Deploy Finance uses embedded wallets with email sign-in, powered by Privy offering end-to-end account abstraction making your login easier and secure. ## What is live today [Income: Funding Rates](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) and [Superstar](/products/agents/superstar/overview). ## Keep Learning - [Our thesis](/our-thesis) - [What are Deploy Finance agents?](/what-are-deploy-finance-agents) --- # Why use Deploy Finance? Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/why-use-deploy-finance Description: Six reasons: self-custody, institutional execution, yield sourced from market structure, verifiable performance, and low costs. # Why use Deploy Finance? Six reasons to choose Deploy Finance is you are looking to generate yields through fully decentralized rails: ## 1. You keep custody Funds sit in a wallet you control, not a vault or a platform-held account. Agents receive session keys scoped to trading, and you can revoke at any time or export your keys and leave. No vault contract holds pooled deposits, so there is no rug pull or honeypot on the deposit path. All your assets belong to your Deploy Finance wallet and you can export them out at any time, even if Deploy Finance goes away. ## 2. Institutional-grade execution The strategies come from Deploy FInance's quant team, on propietary infrastructure live since 2018. ## 3. Access does not require expertise Running a delta neutral book by hand means monitoring funding across exchanges, rebalancing legs, and managing margin without stopping. An agent does that at every hour of the day for you, autonomously. ## 4. Yield comes from market structure Funding income is paid by leveraged longs to shorts. There is no token to inflate and no incentive schedule to expire, and it does not compress when government-set rates fall. ## 5. Everything is verifiable Every trade is onchain and publicly viewable. You can copy and paste your Deploy wallet address to any Hyperliquid block explorer to see all your transactions and agent moves. ## 6. It's free No subscription, no sign-up fee, and no percentage taken from deposits. You still pay gas, exchange trade fees, and bridge fees. ## Keep Learning - [How to get started](/how-to-get-started) - [Risks](/risks) --- # What are Deploy Finance agents? Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/what-are-deploy-finance-agents Description: An agent is an autonomous, curated trading strategy that runs from your wallet through scoped, revocable session keys. # What are Deploy Finance agents? An agent is an autonomous trading strategy that runs from your wallet. You allocate USDC and grant trading permission, and the agent executes, manages risk, and rebalances on your behalf, autonomously. ## How Deploy Finance agents are built Each agent is designed and developed by quants, researchers, and developers at Deploy Finance, and tested before release. ## How an agent connects to your wallet Agents interact with your wallet through session keys, made possible by smart EOAs (EIP-7702) and smart contract accounts (ERC-4337). Activating an agent creates a separate, scoped key rather than exposing your main key. Delegation requires your explicit approval, and a cryptographic proof of consent is recorded. | The agent can | The agent cannot | | --- | --- | | View balances and activity | Withdraw your funds | | Open, close, and manage positions | Transfer assets to another address | | Set and adjust stops | Act after you revoke its key | ## What you can see Every trade is onchain and publicly viewable. Performance and risk metrics are published with their qualifiers attached, so you can select on record rather than description. ## Keep Learning - [How to choose?](/products/agents/how-to-choose) - [Risks](/risks) --- # Deploy Finance Wallets Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/deploy-finance-wallets Description: Deploy Finance wallets are non-custodial, generated at sign-in through Privy, with exportable keys and no seed phrase to memorize. # Deploy Finance Wallets Your Deploy Finance wallet is non-custodial. It is generated when you sign in with email or Google, requires no browser extension, and its private keys are exportable at any time. Deploy Finance's wallet infrastructure is provided by [Privy](https://www.privy.io) using their embedded wallet technology allowing for complete asset ownership and exportability even if Deploy Finance goes away. | | Funding Wallet | Agent Wallet | | --- | --- | --- | | Purpose | Your public receiving address | Where trading happens | | Created | At sign-up | When you allocate to an agent | | Holds | The key for deploying and revoking agents | The positions the agent manages | | Permissions | Yours alone | Scoped to trading; cannot transfer funds | Withdrawals are initiated from the Funding Wallet. Move funds there first if they sit in the Agent Wallet before withdrawing. ## Embedded and smart wallets Both wallet types combine two implementations. **Embedded wallets (EW)** are user-controlled EOAs (External Owned Accounts) with a private key for full custody, designed for onboarding through email and a security code. **Smart wallets (SW)** are contract-based, supporting multi-signature, key rotation, social recovery, and custom transaction logic. They are generated automatically once you have an embedded wallet. The private key on the embedded wallet controls the activities delegated to the smart wallet. ## How your key is protected Private keys are never stored whole. Each key is split into three encrypted shares using Shamir's Secret Sharing: 1. A device or secure enclave share. 2. An auth share held by Privy. 3. A recovery share. The full key is reconstructed only briefly inside a trusted execution environment, and only when the required shares are present. ## Security Agent wallets are a separate self-custodial system powered by Privy, so their relevant controls are key sharding, recovery, exportability, and scoped session-key permissions. An agent can trade for you, but it cannot transfer or withdraw your funds. ## Keep Learning - [What are Deploy Finance agents?](/what-are-deploy-finance-agents) - [How to get started](/how-to-get-started) --- # Our thesis Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/our-thesis Description: Three convictions behind Deploy Finance: yield from market structure, custody without compromise, and strategy without operator expertise. # Our thesis Deploy Finance began as a single delta neutral yield engine built to prove that stable onchain income was possible without token incentives. At Deploy Finance we believe that: ## Yield should come from market structure Deploy Finance focuses on strategies where the yield doesn't expire when incentives run out. When returns come from a market source or underlying structure, it makes the strategy to keep working even through periods of high volatility, and it scales with the size of the market. ## Custody should not be the price of access Getting institutional-grade execution has always meant giving up custody. You send your assets to a desk, a fund, or an exchange for custody and management. Account abstraction removes that trade. Your capital stays in a wallet only you control, and the agent operates through a scoped session key. Deploy Finance wallets keep your assets yours and exportable even if Deploy Finance goes away. ## Automated strategies must be end-to-end automated Deploy Finance strategies automate the whole strategy. The agent open positions and manages risk autonomously with zero human intervention. Your only three decisions are which agent, how much to deposit and when to withdraw. ## Where Deploy Finance is going? More agents are already in development, including a Hyperyields Optimizer, an Options agent, Systematic Investment and Withdrawal Plan agents, and a Predictive Markets agent. Release dates will be announced. ## Keep Learning - [Overview](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) --- # Glossary Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/glossary Description: Definitions of the wallet, trading, and product terms used across Deploy Finance documentation. # Glossary The terms used across these docs, defined once. No platform can move them on your behalf. | | **Account abstraction** | Wallet technology that makes wallet login easier without seed phrase management. Technically, separates authentication from transaction authorization, allowing scoped permissions such as session keys.| | **Funding Wallet** | Your public receiving address that holds the key for deploying and revoking agents. | | **Agent Wallet** | Where trading happens. Created when you allocate to an agent, and scoped so it cannot transfer funds. | | **Embedded wallet (EW)** | A user-controlled EOA (External Owned Account) with a private key, created at sign-in through email or Google. | | **Smart wallet (SW)** | A contract-based wallet supporting multi-signature, key rotation, and custom transaction logic. | | **Session key** | A separate, scoped, revocable key granting an agent permission to trade and nothing else. | | **Delegation** | The act of granting an agent its session key to execute a strategy. Requires your explicit approval. | ## Trading | Term | Definition | | --- | --- | | **Spot** | A market to buy assets "on spot". | | **Perpetual futures (perps)** | Futures contracts with no expiry date. Prices are kept together against spot prices through a periodic funding payment. | | **Funding rate** | The periodic payment between perpetual longs and shorts on perps. Positive funding rate means longs pay shorts, and viceversa. | | **Contango** | A market where futures prices sit above spot prices, which keeps funding positive. | | **Delta neutral** | A positioning whose long and short positions offset each other, leaving net price exposure near zero. | | **Spot-perpetual spread** | The gap between the spot price and the perpetual price. | | **Open interest (OI)** | The total size of outstanding leveraged positions in a perpetual futures market. | | **CVD** | Cumulative volume delta: buys minus sells over a period. | | **Liquidation pool** | A cluster of leveraged positions that would be force-closed if price reaches a given level. | | **Slippage** | The difference between the expected price of a trade and the price actually filled. | | **Drawdown** | The decline from a peak balance to a subsequent trough, stated as a percentage. | | **Loss budget** | A fixed maximum loss set before entry, from which position size is calculated. | | **Trailing stop** | A stop-loss that moves behind price as a trade profits, locking in gains. | | **Backtest** | A simulation replaying a strategy over historical data. Not a record of live trading. | ## Products and exchanges | Term | Definition | | --- | --- | | **Agent** | In Deploy, an autonomous, curated trading strategy that runs from your wallet under a session key. | | **USDC** | The stablecoin Deploy Finance agents are funded and settled in. | | **DEX** | A decentralized exchange. Agents trade only on whitelisted DEXs. | | **Hyperliquid** | The primary exchange for both Deploy Finance agents, Hyperliquid. | ## Keep Learning - [Deploy Finance Wallets](/deploy-finance-wallets) --- # Start here Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/guides Description: Task-based guides for setting up, using, monitoring, and securing Deploy Finance agents. # Start here Use these guides when you have a specific task to complete. Confirm the amount and destination agent before approving. An allocation is not a guarantee of returns or a maximum loss. Income: Funding Rates can have losing periods, and Superstar takes directional exposure. For operational steps, see [Launch an agent](/guides/quick-starts/launch-agent). --- # How to decide whether an agent fits Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/guides/agents/when-not-use Description: Situations where Deploy Finance agents may not fit your liquidity, control, or risk requirements. # How to decide whether an agent fits An agent may not fit if you need guaranteed returns, guaranteed capital preservation, or full manual control of every trade. Consider another approach if: - You cannot tolerate losses or drawdowns. - You need to withdraw a portion of an active allocation immediately. - You do not understand perpetual futures, funding, leverage, or execution risk. - You need a strategy that is not dependent on blockchain, venue, wallet, or third-party infrastructure. - You want to specify individual trades rather than choose a curated strategy. Market neutral reduces directional exposure; it does not remove funding, liquidity, leverage, or technology risk. Superstar is directional and can lose when its view is wrong. Read [Risks](/risks) and the relevant product risk page before proceeding. --- # How to choose a market stance Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/guides/agents/choosing-agents Description: Compare the market-neutral Income: Funding Rates strategy with the directional Superstar strategy. # How to choose a market stance Choose a market stance based on the source of return and the risks you can accept. ## Market neutral Income: Funding Rates holds offsetting spot and perpetual positions on the same underlying asset. The strategy aims to keep net delta near zero, so its intended return comes from funding payments rather than price direction. Funding can weaken or turn negative. Spot-perpetual spreads, liquidity, leverage, margin, and rebalancing can affect results. Market neutral reduces directional exposure; it does not guarantee positive returns or capital preservation. ## Directional Superstar can go long, short, or stay flat across spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, and takes outcome-market positions selectively. It takes a view on price direction and sizes positions from a fixed loss budget. A wrong view can create direct losses, and leverage in its perpetual and HIP-3 positions can amplify gains and losses. Superstar performance figures are simulated backtests, not a live track record. Check the Funding Wallet balance separately from the Agent Wallet balance. Review the allocation, open positions, and recent activity together so that one event is not mistaken for the whole strategy. Income: Funding Rates can earn less when funding is neutral or negative. Superstar may remain flat when its signals do not meet the decision threshold. Both behaviours can be intentional. Avoid changing an allocation solely because of a short-term result. If your objective or liquidity needs change, follow [Changing an allocation](/guides/lifecycle/changing-allocation). Deploy Finance agents do not receive your main private key. When you delegate an agent, the wallet grants a separate session key with a defined scope. The agent can view balances and execute the strategy's trades, but cannot withdraw funds or transfer them to another address. Delegation requires your explicit approval and can be revoked. Deploy Finance's embedded-wallet infrastructure is provided by Privy. Private keys are split into encrypted shares and reconstructed only briefly when required. Your key is exportable, giving you a path to use the wallet elsewhere. Self-custody limits custody permissions; it does not remove trading, smart-contract, venue, or wallet-access risk. Read [Risks](/risks). --- # How to distinguish wallet types Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/guides/concepts/funding-agent-wallet Description: Learn where deposits, permissions, and trading balances live in Deploy Finance. # How to distinguish wallet types Deploy Finance uses two named wallet roles. | Wallet | Main job | | --- | --- | | Funding Wallet | Receives deposits, holds idle USDC, and controls allocation and revocation | | Agent Wallet | Holds the positions an agent manages under scoped trading permission | Deposits arrive in the Funding Wallet. When you deploy to an agent, the selected capital is assigned to its Agent Wallet. Withdrawals start from the Funding Wallet, so move funds back there first when necessary. The two wallets are self-custodial, but the Agent Wallet has a narrower delegated authority. See [Withdraw funds](/guides/how-to/withdraw-funds) and [Self-custody and session keys](/guides/concepts/self-custody-session-keys). --- # How to understand agent permissions Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/guides/concepts/agent-cannot-withdraw Description: See how scoped permissions let an agent trade while keeping transfers and withdrawals under your control. # How to understand agent permissions An agent receives a scoped trading permission, not unrestricted control of your wallet. The permission allows it to view balances, open and close positions, and manage stops within the selected strategy. It does not allow the agent to transfer assets to another address or withdraw funds. The permission is separate from your main private key and can be revoked. This boundary reduces the custody authority granted to an autonomous strategy. It does not eliminate losses from trading, venue failures, smart-contract bugs, liquidity conditions, or compromised account access. Review the permission preview before delegation and read [Risks](/risks). The strategy holds a long spot position and a short perpetual position on the same underlying. Matching the notional sizes keeps net delta near zero, so price movement is intended to offset between the legs. When leveraged longs pay a positive funding rate to shorts, the short leg receives the payment. Funding can become neutral or negative. Spot-perpetual spreads, leverage, liquidity, fees, slippage, margin requirements, and rebalancing affect the result. Delta neutrality reduces directional exposure; it does not guarantee positive returns or capital preservation. Start at [app.deploy.finance](https://app.deploy.finance). ## Step 1: Create your wallet Click **Sign In**. Continue with Google, or sign in with email and enter the 6-digit verification code sent to you. Deploy Finance creates an embedded, self-custodial wallet secured through Privy. No browser extension is required, and the private keys are exportable. Enable two-factor authentication from **Manage 2FA** in the sidebar. 🎥 [Watch how to create your wallet](https://youtu.be/XpuHjEyw_fg) ## Step 2: Deposit USDC From the dashboard, click **Deposit**. Buy USDC with a Visa or Mastercard, transfer from an external wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet, or receive from another wallet. When transferring in, send USDC to the **Arbitrum address** Deploy Finance displays. It will appear in your Funding Wallet. ## Step 3: Choose an agent Click **Deploy**. Enter a custom amount or pick a preset from 10% to 100%, choose the agent, and confirm. **Check the minimums first** $100 USDC recommended for Income: Funding Rates. $10,000 USDC is required for Superstar. ## Step 4: Grant trading permission In the **Agents** table, find your agent and click **Delegate**. Deploy Finance shows the exact permissions before activation: the agent can view balances and execute trades, and cannot transfer or withdraw your funds. Review them, then click **Approve**. 🎥 [Watch how to deposit funds and launch an agent](https://youtu.be/f1QJoaIeov8) ## Step 5: The strategy starts The agent becomes active and operates autonomously. From the Deploy Finance app dashboard you can monitor activity and performance, change your allocation, revoke trading access, and withdraw. The agent's authority never extends past its delegated trading permissions. ## Withdrawing 1. Check whether funds sit in the Agent Wallet or the Funding Wallet. 2. If in the Agent Wallet, use **Transfer** and wait 3–4 minutes for the balance to update. 3. Open the **Withdraw** tab. 4. Enter the external address and amount. 5. Confirm and sign the transaction. 6. Check the receiving wallet after a few minutes. Funds are withdrawable 24/7/365. Aligning withdrawals with calmer periods reduces slippage (don't worry about this, the agent will find the most optimal conditions to withdraw your capital). Withdrawals are currently lump-sum. ## Exporting your keys Your wallet is self-custodial, which means the private key can leave Deploy Finance with you. Exporting it moves control to any third-party wallet such as MetaMask, so your access to your funds never depends on Deploy Finance continuing to exist. 1. Click **Export Wallet**. 2. Select **Export Funding Wallet**. 3. Follow the instructions. 4. Import the wallet into a third-party wallet such as MetaMask. Once imported, the key is in your own wallet. ## Recovering funds sent to the wrong chain Funds sent to the wrong chain are not lost. The address is yours, so exporting the wallet gets you to them. 1. Export your Funding Wallet using the steps above. 2. Import it into a third-party wallet such as MetaMask. 3. Bridge the assets back to Arbitrum manually. Your USDC appears in Deploy Finance again once it arrives on Arbitrum. ## Keep Learning - [How to choose?](/products/agents/how-to-choose) - [FAQ](/faq) --- # How to choose? Superstar trades directionally across a wider set: spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, plus outcome markets when there is a clear winner. ## Cross-chain deposits When you deposit from a chain other than the one a strategy runs on, Deploy Finance bridges your assets to the target chain. In practice that usually means USDC arriving on Arbitrum and bridging to Hyperliquid. ## Whitelisted protocols Agent wallets whitelist the protocols an agent may touch: Hyperliquid. An agent cannot send assets to another wallet and cannot interact with a protocol outside that list. Additional non-DEX protocols may be enabled later, with an announcement beforehand. ## Timing After depositing your stablecoins, an agent may take a few hours before deploying capital to the strategy. This allows for the agent to enter only during the best market conditions where liquidity is deep and slippage is avoided. ## Keep Learning - [Fees](/products/agents/fees) - [Risks](/risks) --- # Overview Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview Description: Income: Funding Rates earns yield from perpetual funding spreads without taking directional exposure to price. # Overview Income: Funding Rates earns yield from perpetual funding arbitrage without taking directional exposure to price. You have removed the thing most crypto positions depend on, so you need a different source of yield. ## Where the yield comes from That source is the funding payment. Perpetual futures have no expiry, so exchanges use a periodic funding payment to keep the perpetual price tethered to spot. When the perpetual trades above spot, longs pay shorts. When below, shorts pay longs. Holding spot and shorting the perpetual puts you on the receiving side whenever funding is positive. ## Why funding is usually positive Participants generally expect higher prices ahead, which pushes futures prices above spot. This pattern is called **contango**, and in crypto it persists longer because of the high demand for leveraged long exposure, but persistent is not permanent. Funding can flatten and it can invert. This is why the asset of choice matters: it must have deep liquidity, and long periods of positive funding rates to be considered a good asset to execute a delta-neutral strategy on. ## What delta neutral does not mean - **Not risk free.** It removes directional price risk, not execution, liquidity, venue, margin, or funding risk. - **Not a guaranteed yield.** Extended negative funding can produce negative yield. - **Not self-maintaining.** Neutrality is held through systematic rebalancing, not assumed. ## Keep Learning - [How it works](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/how-it-works) - [Risks](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/risks) --- # Who is it for? Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/income-funding-rates/who-is-it-for Description: Income: Funding Rates suits holders of idle USDC who want a structurally sourced yield without taking a directional view on price. # Who is it for? Income: Funding Rates suits capital that wants a yield with limited risk. ## It fits you if - You hold stablecoins that are idle and want them productive generating yields. - You want returns without betting on where the asset price goes next. - You would rather earn a moderate, stable, and structurally sourced yield than chase a volatile one. - You want the strategy run continuously without monitoring funding across exchanges yourself. - Your first objective is not losing the principal — treasury-minded funds, DAOs, companies, and individuals. ## It is probably not for you if - You want direct exposure to crypto bull markets. This strategy is designed to be indifferent to it. Consider [Superstar](/products/agents/superstar/overview). - You need the money back at a specific moment regardless of conditions. Funds are available 24/7/365. - You expect a fixed rate. Funding income varies and can turn negative during periods of low demand for leverage. ## Sizing **Minimums and limits** Allowed minimum is **$100 USDC**. The maximum for an individual account is **$50 million USDC**. Above $50 million, contact Deploy Finance about enterprise and treasury-management solutions for delta neutral strategies. ## Keep Learning - [How to choose?](/products/agents/how-to-choose) - [Fees](/products/agents/fees) --- # How it works Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/income-funding-rates/how-it-works Description: What the Income: Funding Rates agent does after you deploy: a 75/25 spot and perpetual split, continuous rebalancing, and USDC funding accrual. # How it works After you deploy your capital, the agent builds a hedged position and maintains it. 1. **You deposit USDC** and allocate it to the agent. 2. **The agent opens the spot leg.** Roughly 75% of capital holds the underlying asset long. 3. **The agent opens the hedge.** The remaining 25% backs a 3x short perpetual, sized so notional exposure matches and net delta stays near zero. 4. **The agent confirms permissions, executes orders, and applies its stop-loss.** 5. **Funding accrues in USDC** while the position is held at the top of every hour (this depends on the conditions of the exchange of execution). 6. **The agent rebalances automatically** as prices and conditions change. 7. **If the short is stopped out,** the whole position moves into USDC to keep the portfolio neutral. The 3x leveraged short is what makes the strategy capital efficient. It amplifies funding capture without adding directional exposure, because the notional is matched against the spot leg. ## What happens when funding changes | Funding | What the agent does | | --- | --- | | Positive | The best case. The agent holds the position and yield accrues. | | Flat | Yield still arrives, in smaller and less regular amounts. | | Negative | The agent rebalances or closes positions rather than paying to hold. | ## Risk controls - Strict margin buffers on the leveraged leg. - Defined liquidation thresholds. - Exchange diversification across decentralized perpetual exchanges. - Automated rebalancing to hold delta near zero. 🎥 [Watch how Income: Funding Rates works](https://youtu.be/eZsq9a5yxko) ## Keep Learning - [Execution](/products/agents/execution) - [Fees](/products/agents/fees) --- # Risks Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/income-funding-rates/risks Description: Risks specific to Income: Funding Rates: funding rate, spot-perpetual spread, volatility, liquidity, margin, rebalancing, and depeg. # Risks Income: Funding Rates can experience losing periods. Delta neutrality reduces directional exposure. It does not guarantee positive yield or capital preservation. ## Strategy-specific risks **Funding rate.** Funding can decline, become insufficient to cover trading and operational costs, or turn negative. Extended favorable funding can produce negative or compressed yield. **Spot-perpetual spread.** The two prices can diverge temporarily, particularly in volatile or illiquid markets, creating losses or unfavorable execution when positions are entered, rebalanced, or exited. **Volatility.** Extreme price movements can trigger stop-losses or force position adjustments, increasing turnover, fees, and slippage. **Liquidity.** Thin market depth can make it hard to maintain the hedge or exit both legs efficiently under stress. **Margin and liquidation.** The perpetual leg uses leverage. Margin buffers and automated controls are in place, but leverage introduces liquidation risk if positions cannot be adjusted quickly enough in extreme conditions. **Rebalancing and execution.** Neutrality must be actively maintained. Price changes, funding accrual, execution latency, and market conditions can temporarily misalign the legs. n **Stablecoin depeg.** USDC is the only stablecoin used, narrowing depeg exposure to one well-covered asset. USDC has operated since 2019 without a depeg greater than 3%, and since May 2021 depegging has not exceeded 0.002%. On October 10th 2025, during the largest liquidation event crypto has seen, Income: Funding Rates held a **0.08%** maximum drawdown. These are the risks of running a delta neutral position anywhere. What differs is how the position is executed and monitored by the Deploy Finance agent. Every position the agent opens is onchain and publicly auditable, and you can track your own Deploy Finance agent Wallet address on [Hypurrscan](https://hypurrscan.io/), the Hyperliquid block explorer, at any time. ## Keep Learning - [Risks](/risks) - [Overview](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) --- # FAQ Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/income-funding-rates/faq Description: Common questions about Income: Funding Rates: minimums, how yield is paid, negative funding, assets traded, and running it alongside Superstar. # FAQ #### What is the minimum I can deploy? $100 USDC is the allowed minimum for maximum capital efficiency. #### Is there a maximum? $50 million USDC for an individual account. Above that, contact Deploy Finance about enterprise and treasury-management solutions. #### How is the yield paid? In USDC, from funding payments received on the short perpetual leg on decentralized perpetual markets. #### Is the yield fixed? No. It varies with funding conditions across the exchanges the agent trades, and in sustained negative-funding regimes it can be negative. #### What happens when funding goes negative? The agent rebalances or reallocates across exchanges to preserve neutrality and limit drawdown. It is not obliged to hold a position that no longer pays. #### Which assets does it trade? Large-cap assets with deep liquidity and sustained positive funding. The agent screens for volume, liquidity, and risk, and will not position an account on a small token. For now, Income: Funding rates is allowed to execute its delta-neutral strategy on HYPE only through the Hyperliquid exchange. #### Is there a minimum holding period? No. Funds are available 24/7/365. #### What happens if the short leg gets stopped out? The entire position moves into USDC, keeping the portfolio neutral rather than leaving an unhedged spot holding. #### Can I run this and Superstar together? Yes. Both run under the same wallet model, and you can split funds across them. #### Is it risk free because it is market neutral? No. See [Risks](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/risks). ## Keep Learning - [How to get started](/how-to-get-started) - [Overview](/products/agents/superstar/overview) --- # Overview Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/overview Description: Superstar (formerly Super Perps) is an autonomous directional agent that trades spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, with selective outcome-market positions. It goes long, short, or flat and sizes every position from a fixed loss budget. # Overview *Formerly Super Perps.* **September 2026 update: Super Perps is now Superstar** Super Perps is now Superstar. The name changed; the agent you deploy did not. It started with perpetuals. It now trades spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, and takes outcome-market positions selectively, only when there is a clear winner. Its post-launch stabilization window has also ended. For its first 30 days the agent ran with position sizing deliberately capped while its live behavior, edge cases, and execution were watched across real market conditions. That cap is now off: full sizing and the full market set are unlocked. Superstar is an autonomous directional trading agent. It trades spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, going long, short, or staying flat, and takes outcome-market positions selectively when there is a clear winner. It sizes every position from a fixed loss budget and manages each trade to exit. Where Income: Funding Rates earns by staying market neutral, Superstar picks a direction. Execution runs on Hyperliquid, spanning spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, plus outcome markets when there is a clear winner. Settlement is non-custodial with sub-second finality. USDC in, USDC out. The agent usually keeps most of the balance working, often in the range of 60 to 70 percent, and runs more than one strategy at once. It might build a spot position in a major asset and rebalance it over time while trading directionally on perpetuals, so a mix such as spot and perpetuals, or HIP-3 and perpetuals, is common. Whether a given trade fills depends on the market. Risk is handled per trade: each position carries its own loss boundary, and most trades are short-term rather than swings. **Minimum balance: $10,000** Superstar requires **$10,000 USDC** to get started as part of the initial and safe agent rollout. This is working capital that funds the agent's positions, not a fee. ## Backtest results **These are simulated results** Every Superstar figure comes from a backtest replaying the strategy over historical data. It is not a record of live trading. The backtest does not fully model exchange fees, price movement inside each four-hour window, partial fills, or execution delay, so live results can differ. The backtest ran on Bitcoin, which has the longest clean price history for a test of this kind. Bitcoin climbed from roughly $104,000 to about $124,000, then fell to near $63,000. The strategy finished positive through both halves. | Metric | Backtested result | | --- | --- | | Starting balance | $100,000 | | Ending balance | $271,465 | | Total return | 171.46% | | Filled trades | 688 | | Resolved trades profitable | 52.3% | | Maximum drawdown | 13.6% | | Reviews ending in no trade | 1,350 of 2,298 | Both directions finished in profit, with shorts carrying much of the back half. Roughly $1.27 came back for every $1 the losing trades gave up, from 366 winners against 322 losers. ## Keep Learning - [Risks](/products/agents/superstar/risks) - [How to choose?](/products/agents/how-to-choose) --- # How it works Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/how-it-works Description: Every four hours Superstar reads eighteen market inputs, argues both sides, and commits to long, short, or no trade. # How it works Superstar runs on a fixed schedule. Every four hours it takes a fresh read of current market data and makes one decision: open a long, open a short, or stay out of the market. It works across spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets on Hyperliquid, taking a position wherever the read is strongest, and takes outcome-market positions selectively when there is a clear winner. The market read below covers the signals it weighs on the leveraged markets. It carries no view from prior cycles and does not wait for you to confirm anything. In the backtest it declined to trade on 1,350 of 2,298 reviews. ## What Superstar does **1. Read the last four hours, hour by hour.** For each market input the agent lays out where the reading stood three hours ago, two hours ago, one hour ago, and now. **2. Synthesize into a picture.** It maps the price and open-interest quadrant, where the order book leans, where liquidation clusters sit, and which way funding and volume trend. Unavailable feeds are marked missing and weighted down. **3. Argue both sides.** It writes an explicit bull case and bear case, each with concrete points and the exact level that would prove the idea wrong. Forcing out the strongest counter-argument is what stops it taking a weak trade. **4. Choose a direction.** Long, short, or no trade, carrying a rough probability, an entry plan, the invalidation level, and what would justify adding. When the cases are close or the data is thin, the verdict is no trade. ## How Superstar read the market **Price context.** Price (1h close) and 1h high — the anchor, and where price was pushed and rejected. **Positioning and leverage.** OI 1h close, OI delta last hour, realized funding, and indicative funding — how much leveraged money is in, and which side is paying. **Forced buying and selling.** Long-liq pool, short-liq pool, long liq 1h realized, and short liq 1h realized — where crowded positions would be force-closed, and where that already fired. **Order flow and pressure.** Buy volume 1h, sell volume 1h, bid/ask ratio (0–2%), and daily CVD — whether real buying or selling is behind the move. **Whales versus retail.** Whale-retail delta, global retail L/S %, true retail L/S %, and top trader L/S % — who sits on each side, and where the crowd and the large accounts disagree. The agent will use cross-market confirmation across exchanges, timeframes, and options conditions. ## Risk management Risk is part of the decision to trade. If the risk does not fit, the trade does not open. 1. **The loss limit is set before entry** and never widened afterward. 2. **Position size comes from that limit,** not from conviction. 3. **The stop only moves in the direction that protects capital,** trailing behind price as a trade works. Sizing is mechanical, and there are no revenge trades after a loss. Most losing trades end the same quiet way, at their stop. ## Keep Learning - [Risks](/products/agents/superstar/risks) - [Execution](/products/agents/execution) --- # Who is it for? Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/who-is-it-for Description: Superstar suits capital that wants handled directional crypto exposure, judged over a cycle, with at least $10,000 to deploy. # Who is it for? Superstar suits capital that wants directional crypto exposure without trading it by hand. ## It fits you if - You want exposure to market direction (either up or down). - You accept that a directional strategy has losing trades and losing months, and you judge it over a cycle rather than a week. - You have at least $10,000 in working capital. - You want a fixed risk framework more than discretion, and you accept the agent will sit out most reviews if conditions don't confirm an entry. ## It is probably not for you if - Capital preservation is your first objective. Superstar profits from price movement, which means it can also lose from it. Consider [Income: Funding Rates](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) if you are looking for stable and steady yields over longer periods of time. - You want to approve trades or override the agent. It decides and acts on its own schedule. - You would be deploying money you cannot afford to see draw down. - You are below the $10,000 minimum. ## Keep Learning - [How to choose?](/products/agents/how-to-choose) - [How to get started](/how-to-get-started) --- # Risks Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/risks Description: Risks specific to Superstar: directional market, leverage, model and signal, execution, stop-loss, and performance-evidence risk. # Risks Superstar is not market neutral. Its risk profile should not be conflated with Income: Funding Rates. **Directional market exposure.** The agent can take the wrong directional view. Adverse price movement directly generates losses. To help mitigate this, Superstar sets a loss limit before entry. **Leverage.** Positions in perpetuals and HIP-3 markets use leverage, which amplifies both gains and losses. To help mitigate this, Superstar calculates the position size from a fixed loss budget, so a strong signal does not produce an oversized position. **Model and signal.** The inputs and decision framework may fail to identify direction correctly, or may behave differently in conditions not represented in the agent's historical analysis. To help mitigate this, Superstar takes no position with just a single confirmation. The agent acts only when several independent readings agree, and treats disagreement as a reason to stay out. **Execution.** Slippage, fees, liquidity, and execution delays can cause realized results to differ from the agent's intended entry, stop, or exit levels. To help mitigate this, Superstar executes on Hyperliquid, chosen for deep liquidity and sub-second finality. **Stop-loss limits.** Position sizing comes from a predefined loss budget and stops are set before entry. These controls reduce rather than eliminate the possibility of loss. To help mitigate this, Superstar sets the stops before entry and never widened afterward, and they move only in the direction that protects capital. ## Keep Learning - [Risks](/risks) - [How it works](/products/agents/superstar/how-it-works) --- # FAQ Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/faq Description: Common questions about Superstar: the minimum, assets traded, trade frequency, whether returns are live, and how it differs from the income agent. # FAQ #### What is the minimum to deploy? $10,000 USDC. #### Which markets does it trade? Spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, primarily on Hyperliquid. It also takes outcome-market positions selectively, only when there is a clear winner. #### How often does it trade? It reviews every four hours and does not trade on every review. #### Why the agent hasn't take no positions at all? Staying out is one of the three things the agent can decide to do. No open position means the current readings aren't strong enough to justify a direction, and the agent is waiting for a clearer signal. #### How much activity should I expect when the market is range-bound? Less than usual. When price action is flat and volatility is compressed, there are fewer setups that clear the agent's threshold, so you should expect fewer trades. #### Where can I see the stop-loss on my Superstar position? The agent posts stop-loss orders as your entry limit orders fill — not at the moment the trade is opened. If you're looking at a position where only some of the entry orders have filled, you'll see a range of limit orders and a take-profit, but no stop-loss on the book yet. That's expected. Once the majority of the entry orders fill, the agent posts the stop-loss and you'll be able to verify the level. #### Can it lose money? Yes. It is a directional strategy, but every position carries a loss limit set before entry, and position size is calculated from that limit to stop losses at entry. #### Does it go short? Yes, the agent can go long, short, or flat. #### Can I tell it what to trade? No. The agent decides direction, asset, size, and timing within its framework. #### Where does it execute? On Hyperliquid, across spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets, plus outcome markets when there is a clear winner. Settlement is non-custodial with USDC in and USDC out. #### Does it earn funding like the other agent? No. Superstar profits from price movement and direction, not from the funding premium. ## Keep Learning - [How to get started](/how-to-get-started) - [Overview](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) --- # MCP Integration Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/mcp Description: Deploy exposes an MCP server so any AI agent can deposit USDC, delegate to trading strategies, track yield, and withdraw. Everything auto-converts to USDC. # Fund your wallet There are two ways to get USDC into your Deploy wallet. The first is the fastest if you already hold USDC on Arbitrum. The second is for everyone else. ## Deposit USDC directly on Arbitrum Sign in once. Get your personal Deploy wallet address and a QR code to send USDC on Arbitrum straight in. No conversion step. Tools: `deposit`, `validate_deposit` ## Deposit any asset, from any chain Holding funds elsewhere? Ask what is supported, pick a chain plus asset plus amount, review the quoted fee and expiry, confirm to get a one-time deposit address, then check status until it settles as USDC in your Deploy wallet. Tools: `list_deposit_assets`, `request_deposit_quote`, `confirm_deposit_quote`, `check_deposit_status` ## What this looks like 1. Ask the MCP client what chains and assets are supported. The client calls `list_deposit_assets` and shows you the list. 2. Pick a chain, asset, and amount. The client calls `request_deposit_quote` and shows you the fee and an expiry window. 3. If the quote looks good, the client calls `confirm_deposit_quote` and reveals a temporary deposit address and a QR code. 4. Send the funds from your external wallet to that address. The client calls `check_deposit_status` until the deposit settles. 5. Once settled, the funds appear as USDC in your Deploy wallet, ready to delegate. Multi-asset deposit covers major stablecoins and blue chip assets across about 13 chains. Everything is auto-converted to USDC on Arbitrum, so you never need to bridge or swap manually first. ## Sign in once The OAuth tools on this page require a one-time sign-in to your Deploy account. After that, the MCP client can act on your behalf within the scopes you approved. Read-only tools on the [previous page](/mcp/learn) need no sign in at all. --- # Earn, track, exit Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/mcp/agents Description: Delegate USDC to a trading agent, monitor your portfolio, exit a position, and withdraw to an external wallet on Arbitrum. # Earn, track, exit Once USDC is in your Deploy wallet, you are three tools away from earning yield. ## Deposit into an agent Ask the MCP client to allocate USDC to an agent. For example, the Delta Neutral strategy. The client checks your balance, confirms the deposit in chat, then hands you a link to sign the one transaction that moves funds into the strategy. Tool: `deposit_to_agent` The link opens the Deploy web app so you can approve the transaction with your own wallet. The MCP server never holds or requests your private key. ## Check your portfolio See your idle USDC balance and what is currently deployed to an agent. Pulled live from on-chain data. Tool: `get_portfolio` ## Exit an agent Un-deploy your full balance from a strategy back into your Deploy wallet. Confirmed in chat, signed via a deep-link. Tool: `withdraw_from_agent` ## Withdraw to an external wallet Send idle USDC from your Deploy wallet to any external address on Arbitrum whenever you want. Nothing is locked up. Tool: `withdraw_from_deploy` ## A note on signing The MCP server never holds or requests your private key. Any tool that moves funds validates and confirms the details in chat, then opens a Deploy web app page where you approve the actual transaction with your own wallet. Session keys granted to agents are scoped to that strategy and expire automatically. --- # Tools reference Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/mcp/tools Description: Full reference for every MCP tool exposed by Deploy: name, auth requirement, parameters, and what it returns. # Tools Deploy exposes 13 MCP tools. An email address or a Google account. No browser extension, no seed phrase, and definetly no hardware. #### What is the minimum to start? $100 USDC minimum required for Income: Funding Rates. $10,000 minimum required for Superstar. #### Is there a maximum? $50 million USDC for an individual account on Income: Funding Rates. Beyond that, contact Deploy Finance for tailored solutions. #### How do I deposit? Buy USDC with a card, or send USDC to your Arbitrum address from an external wallet. Both land in your Funding Wallet. #### Who is the team? More than 10 fintech and banking veterans bridging DeFi and TradFi, with advisors from JPMorgan, FalconX, and BitGo. ## Costs #### What does the service cost? No monthly cost and no fees. #### So it is free? Yes. ## Your funds #### Does Deploy Finance hold my keys? No. This is a self-custody wallet. Account abstraction lets the wallet assign session keys to agents, similar to an API connection on an exchange, with trade-only functionality. #### What can an agent do with my funds? View balances and activity, and open, close, and manage positions including stops. It cannot withdraw funds or transfer assets to another address, and it cannot interact outside the whitelisted protocol set. #### How is my private key stored? Never whole. It is split into three encrypted shares using Shamir's Secret Sharing — a device or secure enclave share, an auth share held by Privy, and a recovery share — and reconstructed only briefly inside a trusted execution environment. #### How do I access my funds if Deploy Finance goes away? Your funds are under your control and withdrawable at any time. You can export your keys and move control to a third-party wallet such as MetaMask. #### Is there a minimum holding period? No. Funds are available 24/7/365. #### How do I withdraw? Move funds to the Funding Wallet if needed, then use the Withdraw tab. Steps are in [How to get started](/how-to-get-started). #### Can I make partial withdrawals? Partial withdrawals are not supported through the app today. Because your Hyperliquid account is self-custodial, you can technically move part of your balance out through the Hyperliquid interface directly but we recommend against it. Exits, position sizing, and limit orders are all calculated from your account's risk parameters. Pulling capital out while a position is open invalidates those calculations, and the agent will continue managing the position against a balance that no longer exists. If you want to take profits off the table, stop the agent first, withdraw, and restart. #### Why aren't partial withdrawals supported yet? An agent running multiple open positions sizes each position against the total account balance. Removing part of that balance means every open position has to be resized against the new total, along with its limit orders and exit levels. Doing that safely mid-flight is the hard part. It has been on the roadmap continuously and the team is actively working on it. #### I sent funds to the wrong chain. Are they lost? No. Export your Funding Wallet into any wallet provider such as MetaMask, and bridge the assets back to Arbitrum manually. Your USDC appears in Deploy Finance again once it arrives. Full steps are in How to get started. ## Agents #### How many agents are live? Two: Income: Funding Rates and Superstar. Others are in development or curation and are not available. #### Can I run both? Yes, under the same wallet model. #### How do I move funds from Income: Funding Rates into Superstar? Funds move between agents through your funding wallet. There's no direct agent-to-agent transfer. 1. Go to Agents and withdraw from the Income: Funding Rates agent to your funding wallet. 2. Once the funds land in the funding wallet, open Superstar. 3. Click Deploy to fund the agent. If you already have a Deploy account set up, the process for any new agent is the same: transfer to the funding wallet, then deploy to the agent of your choice. #### Can I tell an agent what to trade? No. You choose which agent and how much to allocate. #### How do I stop an agent? Revoke its trading access from the dashboard. The session key stops working immediately. #### When does an agent start after I delegate? Depends on market and liquidty conditions. The agent will look for the best conditions before an entry. ## Performance and risk #### What returns should I expect? None are promised. You can view our agents live performance in our app and verify using your wallet address and searching in any Hyperliquid block explorer. #### Is Income: Funding Rates risk free because it is market neutral? No. Market neutral removes directional price exposure only. See [Risks](/risks). #### Why Deploy Finance doesn't show TVL? TVL measures assets held in a protocol's smart contracts. Deploy Finance agents operate from user-controlled wallets, and users delegate trade-only permissions rather than depositing into a shared Deploy Finance contract. Reporting those wallet balances as platform TVL would describe user-owned assets as protocol-controlled assets. #### Why Deploy Finance isn't listed on DeFiLlama? DeFiLlama requires a blockchain-derived TVL methodology sourced from the protocol's owned smart contracts which Deploy Finance doesn't own. All user assets sit within their own self-custodial wallet and aren't controlled, custodied or owned by Deploy Finance. ## Keep Learning - [Contact & links](/contact) --- # Risks Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/risks Description: Platform-wide risks for Deploy Finance agents and the security controls in place. # Risks Every trading strategy carries the inherent risk of loss, including loss of funds. Deploy Finance's design mitigates and controls several risk categories. **Market neutral and self-custodial do not mean risk free.** The agents have different custody models and different risk profiles. They should not be described as sharing the same risks. ## What Deploy Finance removes - **Centralized exchange custody.** Assets stay in your wallet, removing exchange insolvency and withdrawal-freeze exposure. - **Vaults.** Funds are held by your wallet, not pooled in a contract, removing rug-pull and honeypot exposure on the deposit path. - **Agent withdrawal.** Session keys are scoped to trading and revocable only by you. ## Platform risks These apply to both live agents, and they are the risks of using any onchain platform. **Agent execution.** An autonomous agent may execute incorrectly, fail to react as intended, or suffer an operational failure resulting in losses. The system is distributed and has run through every major market event since 2018, but a system-wide failure would leave agents unresponsive for a window. **Exchange and blockchain.** Downtime, congestion, exploits, or protocol failures may prevent positions from being opened, managed, or exited as intended. **Smart contract.** Vulnerabilities in protocols an agent uses can cause losses even though your wallet remains self-custodial. To hepl mitigate this, agents can only interact with a whitelisted protocol set (for now only Hyperliquid). **Liquidity and execution.** Market stress widens spreads and slippage and makes it harder to enter, rebalance, or exit at expected prices. To help mitigate this, agents trade large-cap assets with deep liquidity and analyze markets for liquidity before positioning. **Wallet and key management.** You remain responsible for access to your wallet. Session-key or credential compromise, user error, or wallet infrastructure failures can affect access or strategy operation. To help mitigate this private keys are never stored whole. Each is split into three encrypted shares and reconstructed only briefly inside a trusted execution environment. Session keys are scoped to trading and revocable at any time. **Third-party infrastructure.** Service disruption or a security failure at a wallet or venue provider can affect agent operation. To help mitigate this wallet infrastructure is provided by Privy, and your keys remain exportable, so you keep a path to your funds independent of any provider. **Market manipulation.** Malicious actors may attempt to manipulate prices on the exchanges where agents trade. To help mitigate this, agents trade deep, and only large-cap markets, where manipulation is materially harder and more expensive to attempt. **Regulatory.** Changes to laws covering crypto assets, derivatives, autonomous trading, or the protocols an agent uses may affect a strategy's availability or operation. ## Security - **Agent wallets.** Non-custodial, with key sharding and revocable session keys. ## Keep Learning - [Legal & disclaimers](/resources/legal-and-disclaimers) --- # Deploy Finance, a self-custodial and onchain alternative to Ethena Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/resources/alternatives/deploy-finance-ethena Description: Compare Deploy Finance's self-custodial autonomous trading agents with Ethena's synthetic dollar, savings, and reserve products. # Deploy Finance, a self-custodial and onchain alternative to Ethena Ethena and Deploy Finance both help put digital assets to work, but they package that exposure differently. Ethena provides a digital dollar: **USDe**. You can hold USDe in a wallet or stake it in Ethena's ERC-4626 contract to receive **sUSDe**, a yield-bearing position. Deploy Finance gives you a self-custodial, exportable wallet through Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure and autonomous AI agents that execute USDC-denominated strategies onchain. If you are comparing the two, the key question is not only *what yield is available?* It is also *who controls the assets, where does the return come from, and how much strategy-level control do you want?* ## Deploy Finance and Ethena at a glance | | Deploy Finance | Ethena | | --- | --- | --- | | **Core product** | A marketplace of autonomous trading agents onchain | A digital dollar and yield-bearing asset, with USDtb and whitelabel products | | **How you participate** | Fund your wallet and deploy one or more agents | Acquire USDe, then stake it for sUSDe if you want to accrue protocol rewards | | **Return model** | Strategy-specific trading, funding-rate carry | Reserve revenue from derivatives funding/basis, staking, stablecoins, lending, and real-world assets | | **Custody model** | USDC remains in your exportable, self-custodial Privy embedded wallet; agents receive scoped trade permissions | Staking transfers USDe to Ethena's StakedUSDe ERC-4626 contract; Ethena manages protocol backing through institutional off-exchange custody | | **Control surface** | Choose the agent, allocation, and when to revoke access | Choose whether to hold or stake USDe; reserve policy and backing operations are governed at protocol level | | **Primary risk lens** | Strategy, execution, venue, market, and agent risk | Reserve composition, derivatives, venue, liquidity, and governance risk | | **Best fit** | Users who want an explicit strategy mandate while retaining wallet and asset control | Users who want a composable digital dollar | ## What is Ethena? Ethena's flagship product is [USDe](https://docs.ethena.fi/how-usde-works), a synthetic dollar backed by crypto or stable assets and offsetting derivatives positions. The hedge is designed to reduce directional price exposure while allowing the protocol to earn from funding and basis markets. [sUSDe](https://docs.ethena.fi/technical-design/staking-usde) is the savings layer. Users stake USDe and receive a vault-style position whose value can increase as the protocol distributes eligible revenue. Ethena also documents USDtb, a digital dollar issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, and a whitelabel stablecoin service for partners. The custody distinction depends on what you do with USDe. You can hold unstaked USDe in a wallet. When you stake, USDe is transferred to Ethena's [StakedUSDe ERC-4626 contract](https://docs.ethena.fi/technical-design/staking-usde) and you receive sUSDe; unstaking burns sUSDe for a proportional USDe amount. Separately, Ethena holds protocol backing assets with institutional custody providers through its [Off-Exchange Settlement](https://docs.ethena.fi/overview/off-exchange-custody) model while it manages hedges and redemption operations. Access differs by product. Users can acquire USDe through external AMM pools, while direct minting and redemption are limited to approved KYC/KYB market makers. Staking is available only in permitted jurisdictions, and acquisition of sUSDe is not offered to EU/EEA residents or entities. That makes Ethena useful when you want one composable dollar across trading, lending, collateral, and DeFi integrations. It also means your exposure is to the health and policy of a shared reserve system, not to one isolated trading mandate. ## What is Deploy Finance? Deploy is a self-custodial interface for autonomous trading strategies. It creates a Privy embedded wallet that you control and whose private keys you can export. You fund that wallet, choose an agent, and grant it a separate, scoped session key for trading; you can revoke the permission, while the agent cannot transfer or withdraw your funds. The current lineup illustrates the model: - [Income: Funding Rates](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) seeks USDC-denominated income while staying delta neutral. - [Superstar](/products/agents/superstar/overview) takes directional long, short, or no-trade decisions across spot, perpetuals, and HIP-3 markets. Each agent has a defined mandate, activity and performance data, and strategy-specific risk controls. You can run one agent, or split capital across several strategies rather than placing every dollar into one protocol-wide reserve book. Learn more about the wallet and permission model in [What are Deploy.Finance Agents?](/what-are-deploy-finance-agents) and [Deploy Finance Wallets](/deploy-finance-wallets). ## Why choose Deploy over a protocol-level yield wrapper? ### You choose the strategy, not just the asset Ethena abstracts its reserve management behind USDe and sUSDe. Deploy exposes the strategy choice directly: income, directional trading, or a combination of agents. That makes it easier to decide what kind of risk you are taking before you deposit. ### Custody and permissions stay with you With Ethena, staking exchanges USDe in your wallet for an sUSDe position in a shared ERC-4626 contract. The protocol, rather than the staker, manages the backing portfolio, custody arrangements, hedges, and redemption operations. Deploy's live agents do not take custody of your USDC. Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure keeps the wallet self-custodial and exportable. An agent receives a separate session key that can trade within its mandate, but cannot transfer or withdraw your funds; you can revoke that permission at any time. ### Staking shares and wallet control ERC-4626 is a token-vault standard, not a custody model on its own. The distinction here is what happens after you stake USDe: Ethena gives you a vault share, while Deploy delegates only trading authority from your wallet. | | Ethena sUSDe staking | Deploy Finance live agents | | --- | --- | --- | | **Asset location** | USDe is transferred to the StakedUSDe contract | USDC remains in your self-custodial wallet | | **What you hold** | sUSDe, a proportional claim on the vault's USDe and accrued rewards | The wallet and its USDC balance | | **Execution authority** | The vault's staking and redemption rules apply | A separate session key can trade only within its delegated scope | | **Leaving the position** | Unstake under the vault's redemption mechanics | Revoke the agent, change the allocation, or withdraw funds | | **Trust boundary** | Vault contract, Ethena's backing and hedge operations, and custody providers | Your wallet and key security, the agent's delegated scope, and trading venues | ### Performance is tied to an explicit mandate Deploy reports performance and trade history at the agent level. A funding-rate strategy can be evaluated on its hedge, funding income, execution, and rebalancing. A directional strategy can be evaluated on its signals, position sizing, stops, and realized trades. ### You can combine different exposures Deploy is designed for allocation across agents. You can keep one part of a portfolio market neutral and allocate another part to a directional strategy. This is different from holding one synthetic dollar whose return depends on the protocol's aggregate reserve and distribution policy. ## When Ethena may be the better fit Ethena may make more sense when you specifically want: - A widely integrated synthetic dollar for DeFi composability. - A savings asset rather than an actively selected trading mandate. - Exposure to a diversified reserve strategy managed at the protocol level. - A dollar rail or whitelabel stablecoin infrastructure for an application, chain, or exchange. USDe and sUSDe are not risk-free cash equivalents. Read [Ethena's documentation](https://docs.ethena.fi/) and understand how reserve composition, hedging venues, liquidity, and redemption access affect your exposure. ## When Deploy may be the better fit Deploy may be a better fit when you want: - USDC held in an exportable, self-custodial Privy embedded wallet, with an agent limited to revocable trading permissions. - A clear strategy mandate before you allocate capital. - Transparent, onchain trade history and agent-level performance data. - The ability to mix market-neutral income with directional strategies. - A strategy that can be revoked or changed without moving your entire portfolio into a new dollar asset. Start with [Create your wallet](/how-to-get-started), then review the [agents overview](/products/agents/how-to-choose) before deploying. ## Can Deploy and Ethena be used together? They can serve different roles in a portfolio. For example, a user might hold a dollar asset for settlement or DeFi collateral and use a separate self-custodial wallet for a strategy-specific agent. That is not a recommendation to combine products; it is simply a reminder that a dollar asset and an autonomous trading mandate are different primitives. Before combining them, check the exact collateral, bridge, venue, smart-contract, liquidity, and withdrawal risks on both sides. Yield is variable, and neither product removes market or protocol risk. ## Risks to understand Deploy does not eliminate risk. Review [Deploy Finance risks](/risks) before using an agent. Important risks include: - Funding rates can fall, reverse, or remain negative. - A hedge can be temporarily imperfect during fast markets or execution delays. - Exchanges, bridges, smart contracts, or integrated protocols can fail. - An agent can make an incorrect decision within its permitted strategy. Ethena has a different risk surface, including funding, liquidation, custody, exchange-failure, backing-asset, stablecoin, and margin-collateral risks. Secondary-market liquidity and redemption timing can also affect an exit. ## The short version Choose **Ethena** when you want a composable synthetic dollar or savings asset managed by a protocol-level reserve system. Choose **Deploy Finance** when you want an onchain strategy marketplace where your wallet stays under your control and each agent has an explicit trading mandate. Neither is a bank deposit or guaranteed-return product. Compare the underlying mechanics—not only the headline APY—before allocating capital. ## Keep Learning - [Deploy Finance agents](/products/agents/how-to-choose) - [How Deploy Finance wallets work](/deploy-finance-wallets) - [Income: Funding Rates](/products/agents/income-funding-rates/overview) - [What is Superstar?](/products/agents/superstar/overview) - [Deploy Finance risks](/risks) - [Ethena documentation](https://docs.ethena.fi/) - [How USDe works](https://docs.ethena.fi/how-usde-works) --- # Deploy Finance: a curated DeFi alternative to 3Commas Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/resources/alternatives/deploy-finance-3commas Description: Compare 3Commas' configurable trading tools with Deploy Finance's curated, self-custodial DeFi agents. 3Commas and Deploy Finance both automate crypto trading, but they put control in different places. 3Commas lets you configure tools for connected exchange accounts and a supported Hyperliquid wallet integration. GMX and Deploy Finance both provide access to decentralized perpetual markets. GMX is a protocol for trading, swapping, and providing liquidity from your wallet. Deploy Finance offers two live autonomous agents that users fund in USDC and control through scoped, revocable trading permissions. GMX is designed for users who want to choose the market, collateral, leverage, order, or liquidity pool themselves. Deploy Finance is designed for users who want to select a defined strategy mandate without managing each position directly. ## Compare GMX and Deploy Finance | | GMX | Deploy Finance | | --- | --- | --- | | Product model | Decentralized spot/perpetual exchange and liquidity protocol | Curated autonomous agents funded from a self-custodial wallet | | Strategy control | You choose markets, collateral, leverage, orders, or pools | You choose an agent mandate and allocation | | Live options | Direct perpetual/spot trading, GM and GLV liquidity, GMX staking/governance | Income: Funding Rates and Superstar | | Execution model | Direct wallet trading on supported chains | Decentralized perpetual markets, with Hyperliquid named in current product material | | Permissions | Wallet or optional One-Click sub-account authorization | Scoped, revocable trading permissions; agents cannot transfer or withdraw funds | | Best fit | Traders and liquidity providers who want direct control | Users who want an agent to manage execution within a mandate | ## What is GMX? GMX is a decentralized spot and perpetual exchange. You connect a wallet to open or manage your own trades. GMX also offers GM and GLV liquidity-pool tokens for users who want to supply liquidity to its markets. ### GMX key products and features - Perpetual and spot trading from a connected wallet, with market-specific leverage and risk limits. - GM pools for market-specific liquidity provision. - GLV vaults that allocate liquidity across supported GM markets. - GMX token staking and DAO governance. Current GMX documentation says its bought-back staking rewards are accumulating in the Treasury and are not currently distributed. GMX supports direct wallet trading on Arbitrum, Avalanche, and MegaETH. Its GMX Account is a separate Arbitrum trading balance that can be funded and withdrawn through supported cross-chain routes. GMX also supports One-Click trading, which uses a locally stored sub-account key and a limit on the number of actions you authorize. For liquidity providers, GMX pool access is not the same as an always-available withdrawal. Deposits can be disabled or capacity-limited. If a pool has no available redemption liquidity, selling its GM or GLV token may require waiting for positions to close or for new liquidity to enter. ## Deploy Finance: autonomous strategies Deploy Finance is a platform for autonomous trading agents. The live agents in this comparison are Income: Funding Rates and Superstar. ### Deploy Finance's live features - **Income: Funding Rates:** a market-neutral agent that seeks returns from perpetual funding spreads while managing its hedge. - **Superstar:** a directional agent that takes long or short positions under its defined strategy. - **Self-custodial agent wallet:** agents receive scoped, revocable trading permissions. They cannot transfer or withdraw your funds. GMX is a decentralized perpetual venue and a liquidity protocol. Traders can receive or pay funding while holding a position. Liquidity providers earn a share of trading-related fees, but they also bear pool and trader-counterparty exposure. GMX token staking is not a current distributed-yield option under GMX's published rules. Deploy's live agents execute on decentralized perpetual markets. Income: Funding Rates seeks funding spreads without directional price exposure as its objective. Superstar has directional exposure. Deploy lists GMX among the venues it monitors for funding capture, but current product material does not establish GMX as a live execution venue for either agent. Create a Deploy Finance wallet with email or Google sign-in, fund it with USDC, choose an agent, and review the delegated trading permissions before approving them. You can monitor activity, change an allocation, revoke access, and withdraw funds. ## When should you choose Deploy Finance or GMX? **Choose Deploy Finance when:** - You want a defined market-neutral funding strategy or a separate directional strategy instead of opening and managing each position yourself. - You want USDC funding and settlement from a self-custodial wallet, with agent permissions that you can revoke. - You want the agent—not you—to manage the strategy's continuous trade execution within its mandate. **Choose GMX when:** - You want to choose the market, collateral, leverage, orders, and risk settings yourself. - You want direct access to GMX perpetual or spot markets from your wallet. - You are evaluating GM or GLV liquidity provision and understand the pool's asset, redemption, and trader-counterparty risks. - You want to stake GMX for governance and understand that current staking-reward distribution is suspended. > **Not like-for-like:** GMX is an exchange and liquidity protocol for direct participation. Deploy Finance is a platform with two live autonomous agents. No live Deploy–GMX integration is implied. ## Choose the approach that matches the job Use GMX when you want direct control over a trade or liquidity position. Use Deploy Finance when you want to allocate USDC to one of two agent mandates while retaining control over the wallet and the permissions granted to the agent. ## Two ways to use Deploy Finance **Income: Funding Rates** Choose this agent if you are evaluating a market-neutral approach to perpetual funding spreads. **Superstar** Choose this agent if you want a directional long-or-short strategy rather than a market-neutral funding approach. ## Learn more - [Deploy Finance agent documentation](https://docs.deploy.finance/strategies) - [Deploy Finance: Income: Funding Rates](https://docs.deploy.finance/income-funding-rates/strategy) - [Deploy Finance: Superstar](https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/overview) - [GMX trading overview](https://docs.gmx.io/docs/trading/overview/) - [GMX providing liquidity](https://docs.gmx.io/docs/providing-liquidity/) - [GMX liquidations and ADL](https://docs.gmx.io/docs/trading/liquidations/) ## Start with Deploy Finance [Create a self-custodial Deploy Finance wallet and review the live agents](https://app.deploy.finance). --- # Deploy Finance vs Solstice: funding-based yield and tokenized yield strategies Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/resources/alternatives/deploy-finance-solstice Description: Compare Solstice's USX and YieldVault products with Deploy Finance's self-custodial autonomous agents. Solstice is a Solana-based yield protocol. USX is its USD-tracking settlement asset. Users can lock USX in YieldVault and receive a transferable token for a chosen strategy. ### Solstice's live products and features - **USX:** Solstice's settlement asset and the entry/exit asset for its strategy tokens. - **eUSX:** the live delta-neutral YieldVault token. - **SR-strcUSX and JR-strcUSX:** senior and junior tokens linked to Strategy Inc.'s STRC preferred-stock income. - **SLX and stSLX:** an alignment/governance token and its liquid staking token. Solstice documents aiUSX and tbUSX as coming soon, so they are not live comparison points. Individuals can swap into USX through the Solstice app or named Solana DEXs. Direct USX minting and redemption are available to KYC'd institutional partners. The terms also allow for whitelisting, screening, cooling periods, minimums, and processing delays for issuance and redemption. eUSX has a stated seven-day standard unlock cooldown, with a stated 24-hour path for $1,000 or less. You can also sell eUSX on a Solana DEX, where the market price can differ from its redemption value. strcUSX has separate senior and junior exit terms, including queues and stress limitations. ## Deploy Finance: autonomous strategies Deploy Finance is a platform for autonomous trading agents that run curated onchain strategies. Solstice documents eUSX as a diversified portfolio run by a licensed manager. Its documented engines are funding-rate arbitrage, hedged staking, tokenized T-bills, and institutional yield. Government-rate changes can affect the T-bill component, but they do not solely determine eUSX results. Deploy's live agents execute and manage positions on decentralized perpetual markets. Income: Funding Rates seeks perpetual funding spreads and is not described as an RWA or Treasury-yield product. Superstar is directional and should be evaluated separately from a funding strategy. Create a Deploy Finance wallet with email or Google sign-in, fund it with USDC, choose an agent, and review the delegated trading permissions before approving them. You can monitor activity, change an allocation, revoke access, and withdraw funds. ## When should you choose Deploy Finance or Solstice? **Choose Deploy Finance when:** - You want a defined agent mandate rather than a transferable yield token. - You are specifically evaluating a perpetual-funding strategy or a separately defined directional strategy. - You want to keep USDC in a self-custodial wallet and can revoke the agent's trading permissions. - You want the agent to execute and manage the strategy without ongoing bot configuration or position management. - You want exposure to the Income agent's perpetual-funding construction without adding Solstice's T-bill, hedged-staking, institutional-yield, or reserve model. **Choose Solstice when:** - You want USX and transferable Solana yield tokens. - You want eUSX's diversified portfolio of funding, hedged staking, tokenized T-bills, and institutional yield. - You are evaluating STRC-linked senior or junior income exposure and accept its product-specific liquidity and credit risks. - You want to use Solstice tokens across supported Solana DeFi venues. > **Different product models:** Solstice offers settlement and transferable yield tokens. Deploy Finance offers curated onchain strategies run by two live autonomous agents from self-custodial wallets. No integration between the products is implied. ## Choose the approach that matches the job Use Solstice if you want a transferable token with its own reserve, manager, custody, and redemption model. Use Deploy Finance if you want to allocate USDC to a curated agent strategy, while retaining control of a fully self-custodial wallet and its delegated permissions. ## Two ways to use Deploy Finance **Income: Funding Rates** Choose this agent if you are evaluating a market-neutral approach to perpetual funding spreads. **Superstar** Choose this agent if you want a directional long-or-short strategy rather than a market-neutral funding approach. ## Learn more - [Deploy Finance agent documentation](https://docs.deploy.finance/strategies) - [Deploy Finance: Income: Funding Rates](https://docs.deploy.finance/income-funding-rates/strategy) - [Deploy Finance: Superstar](https://docs.deploy.finance/products/agents/superstar/overview) - [Solstice introduction](https://docs.solstice.finance/) - [Solstice eUSX](https://docs.solstice.finance/solstice-for-users/eusx-powered-by-yieldvault) - [Solstice yield sources](https://docs.solstice.finance/overview/yield-sources) - [Solstice risk disclosures](https://docs.solstice.finance/legal-documents/risk-disclosures) ## Start with Deploy Finance [Create a self-custodial Deploy Finance wallet and review the live agents](https://app.deploy.finance). --- # Legal & disclaimers Source: https://docs.deploy.finance/resources/legal-and-disclaimers Description: This documentation is informational. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Services. Please read these Terms carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights. By accessing and/or using the Services, you are agreeing to these Terms. If you do not understand or agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services. For purposes of these Terms, "you" and "your" means you as the user of the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other entity then "you" includes you and that entity, and you represent and warrant that (a) you are an authorized representative of the entity with the authority to bind the entity to these Terms, and (b) you agree to these Terms on the entity's behalf. ## 1. The Services ### 1.1 Services The Services provide an interface (the "App") that displays data for the purpose of enabling users to interface, via a third-party wallet application (e.g., MetaMask), with certain components of a set of open-sourced smart contracts deployed on decentralized blockchains, namely the mechanism inherent to the deploy Finance Protocol. The set of smart contracts maintained and operated by the Company and its affiliates, collectively with off-chain infrastructure (e.g., off-exchange custody solutions and exchange relationships) maintained and operated by the Company and its affiliates, are referred to herein as the "Protocol". In addition, the App displays data for the purpose of enabling users to interface, via a third-party wallet application, with certain components of open-sourced smart contract systems deployed on decentralized blockchains, such as certain liquidity pools on third-party protocols (the "Third Party Protocols"). Documentation relevant to the Services, the App, and the Protocol are available at [https://docs.deploy.finance](https://docs.deploy.finance) (the "Documentation"). The Protocol itself is not part of the Services, and your use of the Protocol is entirely at your own risk. Additionally, the third-party technologies required to be used or interacted with in order to interact with the Protocol, including but not limited to a Wallet (as defined below, and collectively the "Third-Party Tools"), are not part of the Services, and your use of such Third-Party Tools are entirely at your own risk. The App is separate and distinct from the Protocol and any Third-Party Tools and is not essential for the purpose of accessing or otherwise interacting with the Protocol. The App merely displays blockchain data and provides a web application that reduces the complexity of using the Third-Party Tools to otherwise interact with the Protocol. Activity on the Protocol is conducted via permissionless smart contracts as well as certain aspects of off-chain infrastructure detailed in the Documentation, and users or other developers are free to create their own interfaces to interact with the Protocol. When you utilize any data inputs provided by the App to execute transactions, you are interacting with public blockchains, which provide transparency into your transactions. The Company does not control and is not responsible for any information you make public on any public blockchain by taking actions utilizing data provided by the App or the Services. Distributions of DFI tokens, including but not limited to airdrops or other rewards programs displayed on the App (including, but not limited to, smart contracts within which certain tokens may be locked, and the maintenance of rewards balances), are managed by the Company and other independent third parties. The Company does not assume any responsibility for such programs. The App merely displays relevant data provided by the Company or third parties. You acknowledge and agree that such programs are separate from the Services and the Company expressly disclaims any warranties or liability related to the tokens, their distribution, or associated rewards programs. ### 1.2 Wallets To use certain of the Services it may be necessary to connect a third-party digital wallet ("Wallet") to the App. In such cases, by using a Wallet in connection with the Services, you agree that you are using the Wallet under the terms and conditions of the applicable third-party provider of such Wallet. Wallets are not associated with, maintained by, supported by or affiliated with the Company. You acknowledge and agree that we are not party to any transactions concluded while or after accessing our App, and we do not have possession, custody or control over any digital assets appearing on the App. When you interact with the App, you retain control over your digital assets at all times. The Company accepts no responsibility or liability to you in connection with your use of a Wallet or data provided by the App in consummating transactions using a Wallet, and makes no representations and warranties regarding how the Services will interact with any specific Wallet. The private keys and/or seed phrases necessary to access the assets held in a Wallet are not held by or known to the Company. The Company has no ability to help you access or recover your private keys and/or seed phrases for your Wallet, so please keep them in a safe place. ### 1.3 Updates; Monitoring We may make any improvements, modifications or updates to the Services, including but not limited to changes and updates to the underlying software, infrastructure, security protocols, documentation, technical configurations or service features (the "Updates") from time to time. Your continued access to and use of the Services are subject to such Updates and you shall accept any patches, system upgrades, bug fixes, feature modifications, or other maintenance work that arise out of such Updates. We are not liable for any failure by you to accept and use such Updates in the manner specified or required by us. Although the Company is not obligated to monitor access to or participation in the Services, it has the right to do so for the purpose of operating the Services, to ensure compliance with the Terms and to comply with applicable law or other legal requirements. ### 1.4 Fees While the Company does not presently charge any fees for the Services or the App, transactions executed by you utilizing data provided by the App and your use of the Services may cause you to incur fees such as blockchain gas or similar network fees, as well as fees charged by the Protocol, if any, and Third Party Protocols. All such fees displayed within your Wallet utilizing data inputs provided by the App are merely estimates and may not reflect actual costs incurred in broadcasting a transaction for execution according to the applicable consensus mechanism. Additionally, your external Wallet provider may impose a fee. We are not responsible for any fees charged by a third party. Due to the nature of distributed, public blockchains, transactions executed by you utilizing data provided by the App and the Services are non-refundable and the Company is not able to alter or mitigate any such fees. You will be responsible for paying any and all taxes, duties and assessments now or hereafter claimed or imposed by any governmental authority associated with your use of the Services, the App, the Protocol, and Third-Party Protocols. In certain cases, your transactions may not be successful due to an error with the blockchain or the Wallet, or due to changes in the distributed blockchain environment (e.g., during a spike in demand for block space and/or activity on the relevant network). We accept no responsibility or liability to you for any such failed transactions, or any transaction or gas fees that may be incurred by you in connection with such failed transactions. ## 2. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws of the jurisdiction you are located or accessing the Services from in connection with your use of the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and will not be using the Services for any illegal activity or to engage in the prohibited activities in Section 5.3.
