Hyperliquid vaults and Deploy Finance agents can end up trading on the same venue. What separates them is who holds your capital while that happens, and whether your result depends on other depositors' positions.

Hyperliquid vaults pool depositor funds into a single vault address controlled by HLP or a vault leader. Deploy Finance agents trade on Hyperliquid too, but from a wallet only you control, with a session key scoped to trading and revocable at any time.

What are Hyperliquid vaults?​

Hyperliquid vaults let depositors pool USDC into a single onchain vault that trades on their behalf. HLP is the protocol-owned vault: it runs Hyperliquid's own market-making, liquidation, and Earn-related strategies, and is described as fully community-owned with no separate performance fee taken by a leader. User-led vaults are permissionless — anyone can launch one, anyone can deposit, and the vault leader trades the pooled funds under whatever strategy they choose.

How Hyperliquid vaults work​

  • HLP locks new deposits for 4 days from your most recent deposit before withdrawal is available, and depositors share in the vault's book, including its drawdowns.
  • User-led vaults default to a 1-day lock, which the leader can extend, and typically pay the leader a performance fee (commonly cited around 10%) on profits generated for depositors.
  • In both cases, your USDC leaves your individual control and becomes part of a shared pool. Your outcome depends on the vault's overall book, not a position sized and managed just for you.
  • Vault performance is public, but past returns are not a guarantee: third-party trackers have reported HLP drawdowns in the 5–12% range during fast, one-sided market moves.

Deploy Finance: autonomous agents, individually held funds​

Deploy Finance runs autonomous trading agents funded and settled in USDC, executing on the same venue these vaults use. The live agents are Income: Funding Rates and Superstar. Like HLP and user-led vaults, Deploy's agents execute on Hyperliquid — it is currently the only venue in Deploy's whitelisted protocol set.

Deploy Finance's live features​

  • Income: Funding Rates: a market-neutral agent that seeks returns from perpetual funding spreads while managing its hedge.
  • Superstar: a directional agent that takes long or short positions under its defined strategy.
  • Self-custodial agent wallet: your USDC stays in a wallet you control. The agent receives a scoped, revocable session key and cannot transfer or withdraw funds.

The distinction from a vault is structural, not just contractual. A vault pools your capital with every other depositor's, and your result depends on the vault's aggregate book. A Deploy agent trades from your own wallet under your own allocation; there is no shared pool and no other depositor's position affecting yours.

Sign in with email or Google, fund the wallet with USDC, and choose an agent. The approval screen shows exactly what the session key permits before you grant it. Changing an allocation or revoking the key does not mean waiting out a four-day deposit lock.

When should you choose Deploy Finance or a Hyperliquid vault?​

Choose Deploy Finance when:

  • You want your capital individually held in your own wallet rather than pooled with other depositors.
  • You want no performance fee taken on the agent's results.
  • You are specifically evaluating a market-neutral funding strategy or a separately defined directional strategy.
  • You want the ability to revoke the agent's access at any time rather than wait out a vault's lock-up window.

Choose a Hyperliquid vault when:

  • You are comfortable pooling capital with other depositors and sharing the vault's aggregate result.
  • You want exposure to HLP's market-making and liquidation strategy, or you have evaluated a specific vault leader's track record.
  • You accept a 1-day (or leader-extended) or 4-day lock-up on withdrawals.

Different structures on the same venue: Both HLP and Deploy's agents execute on Hyperliquid, but a vault is a pooled position with a shared book and, for user-led vaults, a leader who can charge a performance fee. Deploy's agents are individually held positions with no performance fee and a revocable session key. No integration between the products is implied.

Choose the approach that matches the job​

Choose a Hyperliquid vault if you want to pool capital into HLP or back a specific vault leader and are comfortable with the lock-up terms. Choose Deploy Finance if you want a defined agent mandate executed from your own wallet, with no pooling and no performance fee.
